I'm not knocking AJ, but you're flat out wrong. Centro went 3:34 twice last year and also finished 3rd at worlds. 3:34 is superior to 3:53 (of his 3:36 pr). Centro also went 3:53.9/7:46 indoors this year, which were great runs for him. Centro if healthy, looks ready to have a big year.
Is he racing this weekend? He should be opening up soon if he's healthy.

Nicole Blood is a New Yorker through and through. She only spent two months of high school in CA. And she has been running great. She has seen a few bumps in the road due to injury, but you'll see her back on top soon.
We love Nicole Blood. Royal High School and L.A. is proud of her. She is welcome back to her home in L.A. any time.

Definitely not false. If you read what I said it is that he WAS offered a contract (not currently, though if he is currently I have no idea how much and it's not what I am talking about anyway). Flotrack or Letsrun should ask him. He could have a valid reason for turning it down then....his teammate Wheating gets a reported $700k and AJ gets offered a ton less etc. It just gives a false impression with his plead for a contract now. Though it might work, if he runs a time that sparks an interest again before the trials, I'm sure a company will put something on the table.

For starters, 3:57 mile is amazing regardless of PR. He's in shape. Maybe not peak shape. But shape. You can't run a sub 4 mile and not be considered in shape. end of point.
AJ is the type of runner that would thrive from copious amounts of work if he trained like it. The dude is already a beast (check out his history of sick doubles and triples from college/hs) He's an ox, and he needs to be trained like an ox. I think AJ should be more compared to Steve Scott.
AJ if you read this hit up Steve when you get home to San Diego. You might learn a thing or two. Be the miler America needs....I mean Scott did run 3:47 for fux sake.

dont try to say that a 3:36, 3:53, 2nd at ncaas, along with a whole resume of achievements and competitive records doesnt get offered anything at all. your only reasoning behind it is you said it "is categorically false" when it has been reported on several times in other acosta threads by numerous people that he was in fact made an offer and did in fact turn it down.
The reason he's waiting so long for a contract now is because he's trying to get that offer up and on the table again, an offer specifically from nike. he doesnt just want a nike contract, he NEEDS a nike contract if he wants to continue training in Eugene with Vin, Wheating and Brown.
As a nike or an un-sponsored runner he has access to all of the facilities that wheating and brown do and has a coach that he gets to work with. Acosta has said that these are the guys he's been training with. Unless he wants to uproot everything and essentially start over by getting a new home, a new coach, new training group along with a bunch of other things, he needs to be a nike runner which has been the aim the entire time.

Ummm...ever heard of Evan Jager?
Mike Poe stole a car I believe. Like 4 years ago He was running with Wes the fast runner from 1990s who coaches at Riverside Community College I believe and trying for a comeback but it never panned out. Cybulski had tons of inuries and went to UCLA and quit during the Pederson era.
