in just 16 hours, I managed 100 miles...most in a week was 185 while running a relay from Mexico to Canada...many many 120 -140 weeks back in 1980ish (hmmm...same time as 9 out of 10 PRs from 5K to 50K)

9:36 minutes per mile pace, not bad.
Did 100km about 4 weeks back. On target for 110km this week...so far.
after all these other people's posts i feel like i have to qualify my total as well:
142 miles
one day was just 10 miles
working 40 hours a week
biked 8 hrs that week
118 in singles
It'd be nice to see how much i could run in a week if i had time for an afternoon nap.
however, i feel like *sustained* mileage is much more important, so maybe 140ish is just fine.
Matt Mosman--aren't you from Nebraska? I'd love to see what that 220 mile week looked like.
75 miles is my highest, hopefully will be 85 by end of this summer
165 last week. Week before 145. Working full-time.
127 in 1985. Hit over 500 in April of that same year.
A friend, Bob Hensley, once ran well over 200 ( I think he averaged 30 a day) in preperation for Boston and the Olympic trials in 1984.
161 - old school, old mileage, old PRs
119 in 6 days in 1991. I was in no jeopardy of being classified as a clydesdale at the time.
75 (i'm sixteen)
aiming for 100+ by sept.
140
124

From my training log:
Sunday: Am = 25 Pm= 10
Monday: Am = 15 Pm = 15
Tuesday: Am = 20 Pm = 10
Wednesday: Am = 15 Afternoon = 12 Pm = 10
Thursday: Am = 20 Pm = 10
Friday: Am = 10 Afternoon = 10 Pm = 10
Saturday: Am = 18 Pm = 4
I knew you were a little out there, but 220 miles.
What are you up to. Training for a marathon?
Jeff
142 at age 32. 139 at age 44.
120 in a Monday-Sunday week. 121 over a 7 day stretch. That 120 was 12 runs. Before that week I had never run 18 miles two consecutive days, then in 5 days that week I ran 90 miles (avg 18 miles/day for that stretch). Highest month: 496 I think. Also, once ran 112 three consecutive weeks (racing during two of these, with slight tapers - two out of three races in that stretch were PRs). One of those weeks I consider to be my best week of training ever. 3 awesome workouts. Constantly had that feeling that I could run forever...or do mile repeats at 3k pace till the cows come home.

Wow...you had my total exceeded by Thurs morn. I am not worthy! What was the motivation for all that runnin'?
During my binge of 1000 miles in 7 weeks between cross and indoor track, '73-'74, I perfected the 3 minute shower and often sensed I could see myself heading back out as one run was ending. Good times.
116 last summer...hoping to get to 120 this summer. When I hit the 116, I did it in 10 runs. Felt pretty good.
I average 100-105 during season but I hold it for as much as 10 weeks and I mainly train through meets and peak at 85 miles my low point will be 75 or so at nationals.
I would almost rather run 35 miles all at once than do 25/10 like you did Matt. After finishing a 25 miler (or in my case 20, since that's the furthest I run) I don't want to know I have to run again that day.
