Didn't Rupp run the last 3200 meters of his 5k at USA's in about 8:09 last year?

I took a look at the Gardner and Purdy tables, and 26:50 10km was worth 1100 pts, as was 7:59 2-mile. Not making any predictions, because who knows how fit/sharp he is, and indoor track, etc, but outdoor 26:48 is as good as an outdoor sub-8 two-mile, according to Gardner and Purdy.

Galen Rupp probably lacks Lagat's inherent speed. Lagat has a deadly kick and also has the WR for the 1500 at 3:26+. Rupp is excellent, but Lagat with the exception of EG is the greatest middle distance runner ever. I am sure Rupp will make the top 5 US list.

First off, Rupp has not said anything about the AR. Second, based on indoor 5K, its not beyond his capability. However, based on his recent mile, I would say it is doubtful, but for anyone to say its impossible is inaccurate. He is probably in 8:15 shape with is still pretty good for someone in marathon shape only a couple of weeks ago.

The way you've worded your original post, you can't possibly be proven right. How can it be proven that Rupp "has ZERO chance at running 8:10"? He either will run under 8:10 or he won't. But his odds of doing so are not revealed by his success or failure. His odds of running sub 8:10 could be greater than zero, but he could fail to run sub 8:10 anyway.
