Well, there's Maegan who ran a great time
at PDR in September.
She's never run a marathon,
but her half is equivalent to a sub 2:30,
which will give her a top ten finish.
Not bad for a 23 year old running her first marathon.
As for 2:44 female, hoping for 2:37-2:38...
was it poor conditions (hot and humid)?
or no competition that had you doing just
enough to qualify?
Yes, so many will be going for PB's
and we wish you luck, but it's a tall
order to go from running 6:15 miles for 26 miles
to running 6 minute miles.
Were you able to step it up and really go long
after that 2:44 marathon?
To a point where you know you are at another level in fitness?
What is your half PB?
Add 17 to 18 seconds per mile to that half pace and you will know what you can run for the full distance next month.
