Wow, I'd forgotten it had been so long since 07 when Webb was one of the favorites at worlds. Whether this story is accurate or not, and I suspect it's not, I wish Alan the best and hope he becomes the international force so many of us believe he can be.

Webb got himself injured at Michigan, and this is the first time I've heard it linked to that workout, and I've read the book and plenty of other sources. If anything it was Webb doing Razcko workouts on top of the Michigan program that got him injured. Shame Webb didn't stay with Warhurst who ended up coaching Willis to Silver medal instead.

This makes me beg the question though, but what would people think of Webb going back to Razcko? I just made a thread asking about this same question so it seems redundant here but what are people's serious opinions on the matter?

With yesterday's announcement that Jason Vigilante had resigned as the head coach at the University of Virginia, some wondered what effect that would have on Alan Webb, who moved from Portland, Oregon, to Charlottesville to be coached by "Vig". But Ray Flynn, Webb's manager, indicated via email that Vigilante will most likely still coach the American Record holder in the mile, who is trying to get back to top form as the Olympic year approaches. Added Flynn, "Alan is finally healthy and feeling good".

All indications are Webb plans to stay with Vig of course that could change.

The big monkey wrench is now Webb can't train with Andrews.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the thinking was Webb would be a volunteer assistant and that would let him work with Andrews. That is all gone now.

Unless Andrews turns pro. Considering how much money Fernandez left on the table, I don't see how he can't consider it.
