2:32 would be a good result for a low mileage 5k runner.
But with the recent injury problems, she mentions in her blog, I don't see that happening. Her last update was 30th October...

If she runs 2:32 or better, I'd be the first to say I'm happy to be wrong on this one.
Cash is the only reason for her to even be doing this now. And if the knee's a problem, she shouldn't even start. Dropping out at the point it becomes agonizing isn't going to help at all.
Fleshman says her knee is 100%, today anyway, and a perfect day would be 2:35.
But it was 20% three days ago.
She talks about trying to finish even if her knee goes bad during the race - that sounds unwise with 7 months til the OT.
She should probably not be running this race. If she starts and makes it past 18 miles, my guess is 2:42. The lack of mileage and strength will catch up to her. Running this race makes no sense for someone who has 5000 meter Olympic team aspirations. She has previously stated whenever her mileage gets over the 70 mpw range, she gets hurt. So I don't understand why she is running a marathon now. Why not wait until after the Olympics or is this about the Benjamins?
She explicitly says in that interview that her goal is to finish the race more than to run a good race. Does she get paid if she DNFs?
Even her 2:30-2:35 goal, which she describes as just about out of reach anyway, seems unambitious for her shorter distance PRs.
Not sure how serious of an attempt this is.
Why wouldn't she have had a scan on her knee to get an accurate diagnosis? From the description of her symptoms it sounds like she has a meniscal tear. If there is a loose flap of cartilage in her knee it would explain why she is good sometimes and terrible other times when it starts catching. My guess is she is going to need surgery to sort this out
A 15 min 5k runner should be able to handle a low 2:30 marathon with modest mileage. But I am sort of wishful thinking because she is highly likable. If she runs conservatively, I don't see why she can't run a 2:32. Though, if she does have a knee injury, then I hope she doesn't make things worse and jeopardize her Olympic goals.

She is running many years for the Stanford University.
I am always amazed at Los Angeles childrens making it to the big time Olympics, Worlds, marathons.
Lauren is incredible runner and trains very difficult measures.

tummy troubles and pit-stop will slow her by 2 minutes, but she will still finish heroically in 2:27 with clean shorts
