Osama bin Laden is Dead

I don't believe it. Won't believe he's dead until I see the long-form death certificate.

Then, you take a guy who isn't a cowboy and doesn't need to swagger around like he's tough...

9/11 happened only 234 days into Bush's presidency. The hijackers began to arrive in the US by January of 2000, a year before Bush took over. By the end of 2000, they were almost all in our country and conducting their flight training, surveillance, and rehearsals. By the time Bush took the oath of office, the planning was in its final stages. Clinton, Bush, Obama, it didn't matter who was in office in spring/summer 2001, the attacks were going to happen.

234 days is not enough to stop an attack that's in progress? How long does it take then? A year? As far as I know, many terrorist plots have been foiled with much less advance notice, usually being in their "final stage" of planning. BS argument.

In any case, the real reason the 9/11 blood is on GOP hands is because they objected to Clinton going after bin Laden. Republican congressional leaders were briefed on all the intel Clinton had but they decided they shouldn't be distracted from looking at sperm stains on some fat chick's dress. That was the GOP's national security priority at the time.

Then after 9/11, bin Laden was the priority about 5 minutes and then it was all about Saddam.

Republicans suck donkey plums when it comes to this stuff. Totally inept.

Hey how about we all stop squabbling over our political differences and taking credit and just be happy that we are Americans and a common foe that brought so much hurt to our nation has been defeated.

I always suspected that some high level Pakistani officials HAD something to do with keeping Bin Laden hiding in plain site. I never trusted Musharraf and don't have much faith in Pakistan's current administration.
