Men should not have splits yet. Neither should non-elite women, so no worries. Give it a few more minutes. Remember, elite men and all non-elites start much later than the elite women.

Sure, but projecting to finish times from 4,5,6,7 miles splits as everyone's doing is fairly pointless with Boston.

Ryan Hall & lead pack all on 2:04 course record pace @ 5K. Hall leads maybe 3 strides in front of lead pack.

100% agreed. My intention was more to put the pace into perspective. Which consequently means, it is quite reasonable given a good tailwind.
