OK Jim, I believe we disagree on most all political issues, however most all of us runners share a common bond on hard work,motivation, appreciation, etc. I am sure we could go for a run together then sit down and have a beer and talk a little.

5 Cans a day? That's a ton, and you still run as fast as you do? No way I could do that.

Who says I run fast... I think quite to the contrary.

Working on it... should be running "faster" (or less slow) soon. Doubt the intake of DP will decrease, though!

Never one to pump up another's ego too much, I will say that "as fast as you do" doesn't have to mean that you are fast!

However, I did mean that you are fast. Faster than me anyway. I think a marathon PR of 2:27:xx is decently fast for the non-professional runner type such as yourself.

I don't know why so many runners say they are slow. I think someone else brought this up before, but I agree. Most people can't even run a mile at the pace you hold for a marathon.

Like it or not JEH, you are fast. Doesn't mean you can't get faster and it doesn't mean you are fast compared to Geb or Kennedy, but in a very non-descript general way, you are fast.

How's that for going out on a limb?

I began the Toshiko Seko "Ten Beers for Dinner" plan a few years back. While I have certainly become bigger (and presumably stronger), I am still waiting for the aerobic benfits to come around.
