mlbfan - I told you an NYC qualifier would be a piece of cake. Very nice race! A little more training and sub 1:18 will feel easy. Keep it up.
pablo - Yea man, I realize that 14:57 is equivalent to a 15:3X 5k. I just don't to rely on a 190 mile Relay being 100% accurate. Wish I had worn one of my buddies Garmins, although 2 people who ran it with Garmins said it accurate. I will keep my Matanza goal the same (15:3X), but I do have a couple facts that say I am about to roll out at Matanza's.
Fact 1 - This guy from NY and I absolutely handed it to the 3rd place guy. At the starting line, this 3rd place guy was bragging about running a 73min half at Jax. He took it out hard and I let him go. About 1 mile in this NY guy comes around me and we start to roll. Passed him about 1.5 into it and he ended up with 15:47.
Fact 2 - 2 weeks to recover and let this Ragnar Relay fitness set in. I got an event to run Fellas!
