Jesus...neuromuscular coordination is a small, small part of performance. I don't deny it's necessary and important, but it is not the major limiting factor like aerobic capacity is.
Neuromuscular coordination is the drive train, tires, suspension, and weight balance of a race car. Aerobic capacity is the engine. You can still drive fast with an average or even poorly set up car. However, you cannot drive fast with a small engine no matter how good the rest of the car.
