The truth is that Sandy Roberts shoved Jake down on of the small hills in the woods during the race and legit ran him off the course. They exchanged a few choice words during the race. In the meantime, Ryan Hill was throwing cheap shots and was basically being an immature prick. In the chute, Roberts shoved Jake after learning he lost to Jake and they exchanged some more words. The rest of NC State got into it.

Personally insulting people on a message board thread is completely uncalled for. I actually do know Sandy Roberts and he is a great guy. I really can't imagine him purposely pushing someone down or throwing bows with intent to hurt. Even though we don't think of our sport as physical, it does get that way sometimes. I don't think I'm the only one who has gotten heated in a race and shoved someone or cut someone off. It isn't worth calling people "pussies" and "bitches." Both runners are great, Roberts has done things Huryz hasn't. Not saying he won't, but as of right now Roberts is more accomplished.
Is that why Sandy Roberts just got beat by him?
I love how everybody agrees that this Jake guy is a douche. If that's the case, he's probably a world-class douche of epic proportions. Nobody is really sticking up for him. Ha ha, hopefully next time somebody beats his ass.

I was there at the chute watching the whole fiasco and had a chance to interview some of the fighters after the race. Apparently, Hursyz felt like Roberts intentionally elbowed him early in the race and decided to spike his heel in the second mile. Later on, Roberts retaliated by body slamming him in the woods to show him who's boss. Hursyz gathered his composure and laid off him for the rest of the race, but things got ugly again in the chute. Hursyz was holding his own, but Sonnenfeldt knocked out the referee while his girlfriend gouged Hursyz's eyes and Roberts continued to beat on him. Sonnenfeldt then lifted poor little Jake up into a fireman's carry and Roberts delivered a perfectly executed DDT from that position leaving Jake nearly unconscious. Just as Sonnenfeldt was bringing a steel chair back into the chute to inflict more damage, Ric Flair with The Four Horsemen stormed in out of nowhere and cleaned up the mess, weathering an assault from the entire NC State team. It was the most chaos I have ever seen in a single sporting event, much less an XC race. Though obviously hurting and shaken up, Jake still found the energy to get on the mic and announce that he will challenge Rey Mysterio Jr. for the World Cruiserweight title on Pay-per-view to conclude his season. He may not have the best reputation in the sport, but that little man sure proved that he has the heart of a lion!

Why is it that every year after an ACC meet there is a long thread about somebody pushing somebody else and fights after races, etc, etc. You ACC people sounds like a bunch of little bitches coming on Letsrun every year whining and complaining about each other. It is the only conference with this type of middle school drama going on constantly. Grow up you little ACC bitches.
