What do you think about when you run?

Thanks to this stupid thread I spent most of today's run thinking about what I was going to think about.

About it being over

If I'm running with my team I think about what dumb jokes I want to say or I zone out and focus on the scenery. If I'm training solo, I think about future races, my lofty goals (making it into Hanson's) and how to best achieve it, about how to solve a problem, about a girl, future training, or about how the pace feels.

dangling labia

No-one's mentioned music. Not listening on earphones but mentally playing favourite songs in your head. I do it all the time, sometimes ones I know are 175bpm or whatever so it matches my cadence. Otherwise, I do pacing calculations, check how different bits of me feel, focus on my breathing, mull over training advice, etc.
