...and Im going to go ahead and say the recent torrential rain is going to put Navy at a huge advantage in the Gold race.
why do you think the rain helps Navy?
American has 2 guys that have run sub 1415 for 5k and one of them finished 20 seconds behind Hanko at Navy Invite. I don't think Navy is going to sweep them at Conference.
I agree with above poster.
Brannighan(sp) and Eustis(sp) wont be for behind Navy #2 Rome and may have achance at getting him over 8k and probably will get him over 10,000 for regionals
I also hope Navy is peaking right. They have raced a good bit so far and may well enjoy that week off coming up.
I am also, interested to see how Llano of Richmond runs this week. He is a very good runner.
cuz Navy is like in the water and stuff...umm for fighting and junk
Here is the 2010 Paul Short-Patriot 6 Way Meet Results by Team: Ties went to the runner in the slower race, for no reason other than less competition there.

Thoughts:
Navy is pretty good.
Lafayette is not pretty good.
Bucknell is down.
Lehigh is up.
Army has a frontrunner.
Colgate is better than usual.
may i add that lehigh has four of their top usual 7 out for short term injury. something to take into consideration if they can pull it together.
No you may not.
On a different subject:
Hanko is nasty. His range is really ridiculous.
If lehigh's guys are hurt, hopefully they wont lose too much training-this could make things interesting come the league meet
I was really surprised by Colgate, if they can shorten their spread they could do a lot better than I think anyone expected (colgate included). theyve got two great guys up front. whatever
what happened to lafayette and bucknell?
Lets try this again...
Navy 30
AU 43
LEH 79 (if everyone gets "healthy")
Army 124
Buck 134
Col 160
HC 198
LAF 212
My apologies to the Colgate faithful I was way off on them. American has a very real chance with how they have stepped up in the past at PLC.

may i add that even with the 4, I still say that Navy has a better shot of perfect scoring the PL Championsip than Lehigh has of beating them.
ummm... ever hear of Evans Kosgei?
Well done sir.
This weekend is the Leopard Invite at Lafayette. This could be a small preview of patriots depending on which teams go. Anyone know who is planning on attending?
Navy really hammered Army yesterday at home, looked very impressive. Hanko and Rome ran away with 1st and 2nd, and Navy honestly wasn't far from a perfect score. The Middies look very well prepared for the end of the season.
American cruised out at Lafayette sweeping the team competition with their first runner in at 25:52 and fifth runner at 26:02. Army still looked pretty good with Livingston finishing in 24:53. Lehigh seemed ok down at the Penn State 5.2 with Kosgei leading them at 26:13, anyone have a conversion for that time? Bucknell didn't seem to do too well out at Pre-Nats with their top guy at 25:46 but with their 5th runner at 26:34 thats a small spread. Johnson and Sheridan at 25:04 and 25:13 looked strong from Colgate but their 4 and 5 guys are lacking. Holy Cross took the weekend off. And Lafayette didn't seem to run too well on their home course. Navy and American seem to have 1 -2 locked up but the rest of the field could be interesting.

Colgate girls wont win. I heard one of their top runners went abroad, leaving a huge hole at #5.
1-4, however they are solid.
OK Coach Donner, whatever you say.
will the bucknell alumni/cheering squad be present in as great of quantity as in past years? i mean it is a long trip from lewisburg to see your mens team duke it out with colgate for 5th.
Navy did hammer Army but not as badly as I thought they would believe it or not. Lehardy stepped up and ran a good race. Did Mike Mitchell run if not hes been Army's two man. American is better than people think they are and could push Navy a little bit at conference. Lehigh is a pretty big question mark they have the ability to run really well if everyone shows up at Patriots but their results have been sketchy lately. Hopefully everyone can get healthy in a couple weeks. Did anyone notice Chris Sacks didn't run for Bucknell. He's been a pretty big contributor hopefully hes not hurt. I also noticed Colgate didn't run their 3 man at Albany (Thomas Hedges). With all these teams in the same ballpark these possible injury issues could play a huge factor. I sincerely hope we can have everyone healthy at Patriots so we can see a great meet.
Yeah that's the most important thing. If every team has everyone healthy, it's gonna be a great tossup meet.
