so lets do some speculating. a 2:00 for a girl is prob equivalent of a 1:45-46 for a guy right? so ajee improved to 1:42-43 range, then boom eats some beef and is now running 1:40 equivalent?

either this should raise some eyebrows or....the womens 800 is and has been super weak. if a soph in HS can run elite times then the times arnt very good.

Actually, from 2009-2013 she had progressed by around 2 seconds every year, where she then progressed by 1. She ran 1:57 in 2014 and then 1:57 again in early 2015. So her progression would have been 1:56 if she didn't get injured with a 1:55 this year. So besides the injury season, I don't really see the stagnation you're talking about.

Yeah, I agree. She's improved slowly every year except when she was injured.

2009 : 2:07.08

2010 : 2:04.18 (but she also did a 2:00 relay split, yeah i know vent/calculo will tell you that a 800 relay split is worth 4 seconds)

2011 : 2:02.64

2012 : 2:00.91 (i would call this 2 yrs of stagnating)

2013 : 1:58.21

2014 : 1:57.67 (Monaco) (so no improvement)

2015 : 1:57.87 (Eugene) (again no improvement)

2016 : 1:59.44 (rio) (i would consider this a fast track like monaco and eugene, so she actually ran slower that her 3 year stagnation)

2017 : 1:55.61 (Monaco) (so the idea she dropped 4 seconds is slightly misleading since Monaco is known for inflated times, but she did go 2 seconds faster than her best and Monaco, and i would guess its from eating beef)

everyone knows that monaco is fishy...no one runs under 3:30 anymore in the mens 1500 except for at monaco. same thing for eugene, fast times run by people who never get that close again. dont hate its the truth
