    Among other things, the Blues Brothers had the effect of creating an indelible image of white blues as two costumed clowns mocking white rhythmic cluelessness--when they "get happy" in the black church--and burlesquing black religious feeling and rhythmic competence.

    It's nice to know that white people added something completely original to the blues. That's better than being derivative, right?
