probably. He doesn't have the ball handling or passing skills of Jason Williams and Stockton was better at making assists.
Oh my goodness. You're going to compare Steve Nash to Jason Williams with a straight face? Sure, JW was flashier, but he's not much more than a slightly taller version of The Professor from the And1 Tour. Can't shoot, doesn't play defense, too many tattoos.
Stockton was a great player but benefitted from having Malone, moreso (in my opinion) than Nash does from Amar'e.
Sure, it's always something with Nash that keeps him from the Finals: Ron Artest's putback (face it, if the Suns win game 5, they win the series), the broken nose courtesy of Tony Parker, the Robert Horry hipcheck. Maybe he's not that great. OR, maybe he's so good he takes teams farther into the playoffs than they deserve to go, only to find that chance, oddity, and misfortune finally once again catch up with him.
Nash is a great shooter, the consummate leader, tough as hell, and apparently a good dude. Maybe he gets media strokes for being the best white guy in the NBA. But consider this: for the past few years, guys have taken less than market value to play with him in Phoenix. And if you've got the respect of your peers, what do you care what a bunch of guys on Letsrun think about your game?
