Here is some info on the ARNOLD!!
The first year in 2001 it seems you got 1:00 off your first 5 benches and :30 after that up to a max of 30 reps.
The winner (Byron Kimmel) ran 17:43 and had 28 reps for 16:30 off and a total time of 1:13. Every year after that, it was a straight :30 off up to 30 reps and the winner has always done all 30 reps. I believe masters get 10% off the weight.
2002 the winning time was 17:55 by Kenneth Cook.
2003 was the short course year and the winning time was 16:33. Stan Nicol ran a 15:19 that year but only benched 27 reps. According to the results, the course was 2.85 miles that year.
2004 Stan Nicol won 16:17
2005 Stan won again 16:30
2006 MATT BOGDANOWICZ won in 16:59. He posted on here that he could beat Stan Nicol and came from Cali to do that but Stan was out with an injury and Matt came through with the win.
2007 DAMIEN BRANDON won in 17:36
2008 MATT QUINET won in 16:43
2009 SHANE LOGAN won in 16:34
This year, after finishing 3rd from 2006 to 2008 and 5th lastyear and in 2005, VAUGHAN OBRIEN won in a record setting 16:16 eclipsing one second off Stan Nicols record. OBRIEN ran 56 seconds faster than his previous best from 2008.
