See my earlier post about Latinos. While none of those guys of native american as we generally understand that term in the US, I would peg the probabilities of those guys having native american blood at the following: Salazar-1%, Cruz-30%, Chapa-80%.
Are you a Moron? Chapa has a 80% chance of having native blood? So there is a 20% chance that he is all European? Maybe all Chinese? That is like saying Obama has an 80% chance of having some African blood. With 100% certainty Chapa has native blood. That's all there is to it. The same goes for a vast majority of people who have roots in Mexico.
I do not understand what is at stake for you in policing which Latinos can be considered native or not. Why do you care? This thread enquires about fast Native American runners. In the US, those with even a fraction of native blood are generally considered native. Thus, for the sake of this thread, most Mexican runners can be considered native since most have a fraction of native blood. Just because, according to you, Mexicans don't go around calling themselves natives does not change the fact that most are part native. I don't know which Mayan or Aztec tribe I owe part of my genes to, but I am damn sure there is plenty of native blood there. Pointing out the difference between me and a full-blooded Mayan is well, pointless. If someone was to consider me native American they would be correct. If someone were to call me European they would also be correct. Either way, I do not care to be classified by you. So give it a rest.
