ONE American woman has run faster for 10K.
A couple of things. First, he said he runs 10 seconds per mile slower than his goal pace. From the article it looks like goal pace is 2:06-2:07 or 4:50/mile, so tempo pace would be 5:00/mile. Second, I spoke with another athlete that Hudson coaches for the marathon and they said their key workout (or one particular key workout) was a progression run that would get almost to marathon pace but not quite. I am wondering if the whole 24 is at MP + 10s/mile or if Ritz will start slower and pick up speed throughout. I think that would make more sense.
Acouple of things. Training to run 2:06:30 is a nice thing but last year it would have gotten you 6th in FloraLondon.
