-Nike is the cause of all the problems in the world

Both are gaming references.
"Pwn" likely came about from someone mistyping "own" while playing some 1st person shooter. So instead of saying "Dude you just got owned!" someone probably typed "Dude you just got pwned!".
"All your base are belong to us" was from some Sega game where the japanese was horribly translated.
Yes I am old enough to remember the first 1st person shooters and other 1st person games.

That a deer named Jordan won the Footlocker Nats race again this year.
That by referring to division III nationals as "baby nationals" we are helping out our international visitors understand the different levels. Thanks Wejo, you are quite the diplomat.

I have learned that Lets Run is the best source of humor in my life.
And that is no small compliment.
Those smiles keep me going day after day.
And I continue to wonder just how many posts the "Post Nuptial Shut-off" thread will reach.

That about half of the posters are morons who can barely string a sentence together and have the rationality of apes. The other half are alright.

Not necessarily as it depends on the context intended by the author. For example, it could be argued that "single adjective" in your sentence should be hyphenated, but that might change its intent meant by you.
I learned that there is an old guy in Texas who is training for the world record in every event from the 1500 to the marathon, by progressing his workouts 10m at a time at world record pace.
people argue about stupid things like hyphens.
Also, people are over critical, and hyper sensitive.
i also learned, that Usain Bolt ruined track and field forever.
