Big credit has to go Ian "Skippy" Hatfield, when he found gregson he was rooting women like it was going out of fashion and drinking like there was no tomorrow, he has now turned him into a formidable harrier, who has his own letsrun thred (which means you have made it in athletics). The guy is a great coach.

I agree. Times are good for their age but we will see when they have to get a faster. German has the backing as he is in a good system . Gregson really should have come over to college to make his runnering more profitable when it come time ot sign a big deal (if possible)

In the past, the University of Oregon has had a few super runners from down under, both men and women. Though I doubt it would be in young Mr. Gregson's best interest to train outside the "Big Island", he would find Zoe Buckman (Aussie) already on the Oregon campus. She is doing very well and rumor is that she will be joined this spring by another 2:05 800 metre runners from down under. Gregson plus the already strong Oregon stable. Wow, that would be ugly.

What on Earth makes you think that beating up on butterball Aussies in a 14:38 5k is impressive?
German came through the 5k at pre nats in 14:48, or 29:36 pace. He then accelerated to close the last 3k in 8:46, or about 29:13 pace. This was cross country, not the roads. By all accounts, he was running well within himself the whole time and he still posted the 5th fastest time of the day. This was despite being in the "JV" race.
I think we will actually see a sub 29 for 10k when nationals rolls around. Even if we only see 29:20 or so, 29:20 for cross is still better than 29:09 on the roads.
reminds me of the time webb, ritz and hall were tearing it up and from down under (nz in that case) we heard of a 4:01 17 year old who now wears a nice medal around his neck.

my bet is that he will be just another one in the pack by the end of the season. From that video i saw he has the worst running style ever! I am saying he will never run under 3.38 and never go near 13.20.
