Will Ferrell ran the Boston Marathon in 2003. His official time was 4 hours, 2 minutes and 29 seconds. He was also on the cover of Joggers World sometime in 2003 I think

http://www.runningroom.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?p=251096What about Mick Jagger from Rolling Stones? Someone told me that he was featured in RW before my time. Is that true?
Too lazy to read the thread but the Wilson brother (Owen and Luke) were very fast 800 meter/mile guys. One of them still holds his high school record.
Jim Sonefeld, drummer for Hootie and the Blowfish. A 34 min 10k runner a number of years back (when he was profiled in Runners World) and still a 38 minute guy as recently as last year.
Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead has run a number of marathons, reportedly in decent times when he was a bit younger.

man is that really true? dana carvey can do 4:30. If I was him I would have showed that off more because I had no idea. Just goes to show other than obese people, you can never tell who's fast by looking at them.
he ran like a 4:32 mile for a high school in ca in the 70s during its first golden age. he got like 8th at league finals with his time! apparently no one in his league outside of his teammates knew he was funny! he would always show up to meets ready to race.
uuuhhh.... Lance Armstrong 2:46 Marathoner High school XC State champ? He is Celebrity lets not deny it.
Found this about Bill Cosby - he was quick:
"...as a collegian did the 440 in 48.6 seconds and the 100 in a wind-aided 9.8."
Also talks about a 6-7 3/4 high jump.

Vanessa Kerry ran a 3:31 at a 70+ degree 2005 Boston Marathon. (Athlinks shows 3:51, but she started at the back as a charity entry)
Not the best, but a respectable time for 2005 Boston.
Nolan Shaheed. Might not have rock star celebrity status, but he is well known in the jazz world.

Following the thread about Matt Damon's sub-1hr 10k, I was wondering if there are any celebs that have put in decent showings at any distance (apart from other aerobic athletes i.e. cyclists).
All I could come up with was snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan with a reasonable 28.xx 5miler.
