I find it laughable that anyone can look at our media and the BBC and conclude that private, corporate-driven media is better. It's really nuts.

This is just typical brain-washed American thinking, that anything government owned must be bad. The BBC is impartial, regularly falls out with the government, has no adverts, shows every track event live in its entirity and produces excellent all-round programming. But somehow this must be bad because it's not private enterprise. You carry on watching your delayed broadcast, ad-infested tosh, we'll stick with the BBC.
