Coach McDonnell did recommend Coach Booth. Long wanted additional names and Bucknam's name was one of the first names that Coach McDonnell gave to Long. You might try
reading the sports news from the Fayetteville area. What I told you is quoted in the papers that have covered
Coach McDonnell's retirement and replacement. I am not
making-up information as I go along like some posters on

Texas won the 4x1mile relay, not Arkansas. The Arkansas
team won a race in New York City.
Ark only does indoors well I thought. It's because the PAC-10 doesn't have a full indoor season. Indoors in optional for the PAC-10. The Hollywood movie industry takes the 1st 6 weeks of the year off, called "Hiatus", USC and UCLA T&F takes the whole Winter off.
Arkansas has won NCAA national cross country championship eleven times; NCAA national indoor championship nineteen
times; and the NCAA national outdoor championship twelve times. It seems they have beens stronger in indoor track,
but Arkansas has won twenty-three national championships that were not indoors.
I have been unable to learn much about the recruits the Hogs have coming in this year for track and field. Do any of you know anything about our recruits. Thanks for the
