What kind of school can i get into with these times and grades and can i get any money?

And just to clarify, this was in the past 5 years, and though I only ocassionally check to see how the team is currently doing, a quick glance at the roster suggests this would still probably be the case.

Never sell yourself short...many of the "studs" in high school were so good only because they came from established programs...I was very good scholastic basketball player who had partial offers for Div I scholarships but had no desire to play...I was mediocre runner in high school only because it was something I did when out of gym and maximum i ever did was perhaps 20 miles a week. I ran only one 3200 - a 9:48 and had PR of 4:23 when running was just a joke. I walked on to Univ. of Texas around time they were recruiting african runners...patrick sang - maybe 8:03 steeplechaser, joseph chelelgo...and was beating them in workouts...I became pretty good ....just work hard at it and don't set limits...you have some potential

i'm not an 800 runner. i've only run it twice. i'm a 3200 runner. that is just there to show how my times get more competitive with longer distance

Don't think about college yet. Just have fun with your senior XC season. I had times close to yours going into senior year, dropped like crazy and had plenty of scholarship offers by the end of fall.

Dummo a 34 would get you a full academic scholarship at the majority of universities in this country. I hope you had a ton of academic money. I would also venture to guess that the majority of posters on letsrun scored nowhere near the 25 of the OP.

I was at 1:56.42/4:20 coming out of high school and had to WALK ON to a D1 school's team. While my times are certainly not elite, I think it's insulting that this jackass is expecting $$$ with a freaking 2:11 800m! 2:11! I ran that in 9th grade! And the 9:59 isn't that impressive.

actually valor dictorian is what they give 1st graders at my school. my teacher said put that on my college app. i'm not a valedictorian.

Contact NOTRE DAME immediately, they have a habit of giving money/scholarship to people that do not deserve it. They are the Fighting Irish but we never said they're Smart.

yeah, I think this thread was a definite troll looking for outrage...and he got it! I had almost the same prs as you: 422 mile, 156 880 and 942 2 mile, back in the early 80s. I got 0 offers from D1 schools and got 1 offer, a partial (tuition) from a D2 school, which is where I went and ended up running alot of miles between 405 and 410.

did it ever occur to all of you guys that the OP is a girl? those could be the prs of a good high school or jc runner? But, then again, those times would be 'good' for a girl and would get full ride offers. (not the 800m, but the others, for sure).
