Not necessarily. Some guys are just embarassed about the size of their dicks. And not just the guys with tiny dicks. Other dudes will make fun of your tiny penis even if it's average, because every guy wants everyone to think he's hung like a donkey, and you aren't a man if you aren't packing a footlong. What if you aren't particularly well-endowed and a bunch of the guys start rumors about your tiny weeny? You don't want that shit getting around the school. It happened to a shotputter on our track team. I mean the guy didn't have a micropenis or anything, but he was below average and that fact became public knowledge. It has followed him to this day.

Here's my theory - the rise of porn over the last 30 years has led to normal men feeling inadequate about their penis size.

Pretty much the only dicks I ever see are the monsters on the internet or my own piddly little thing...which is actually a perfectly normal size based on what I've read is average. But still, I've been watching porn since the age of 14 now and it's ingrained in me. I don't like how I look naked.

I don't even know what "average" size is. I really don't. Could someone clarify it for me? I guess I havent spent enough time with naked guys, or I haven't checked out their schlongs enough, but I have yet to decide what category my member fits in.

if i were in high school or even college it would; coaches never showered with the team as they had their own coaches locker room.

Why do guys shower together anyway? I never understood that. Womens locker rooms have separate stalls with walls and doors/curtains, yet the mens do not. You can't say men don't care, aren't embarrassed, etc. when there are threads like this.

no, OP did not say this. he was creeped out by coach showering with them - which is more about crossing lines of privacy by an authority figure than anything prurient.

well normally i would give you advice abut what to do in this situation, but you're 8th on the team so nobody cares what you think anyway.

Nobody at my high school ever used the showers (they were new facilities and my school had 1600 people) and that was six years ago. The football people would rarely use them. Nobody used them after PE either.

I think these days people use deodorant and body spray in place of taking a shower. If you exercise regularly, you're sweat shouldn't be that bad. When I finish a workout at gyms, I'm not stinking even if I've sweated a lot and I usually just wipe off and take a shower when at home.

Even if they had private shower stalls, I'd still take a shower at home. It's hard to know how clean communal showers are. But if it was just me and some beautiful women in the shower, I'd take a shower every time.

I don't care, and of all the 40-50 people that have been on my college team in my two years here it seems only a couple of them that are a little uncomfortable with it. One is a freshman, and the other is a Kenyan in his first year in the US - he's used to Kenya's more modest society, still aculturating himself. Other than that, no one cares after the first couple weeks of their freshman year.

Showering with the team shows that your at the same level, not elitist or superior. It shows that your part of the team and normal. What has everyone got thats different from the coach anyway?

Ah, showering with the team, the first day of practice in college the upper classmen would always mess with the new freshmens heads in the shower. Beforehand on the run we'd always pick out which one you were going to take advantage of in the shower while all the freshmen could hear who's going to do who and what not, and all the soap for the day was put in the corners of the showers. Some of the freshman would think we were all gay and never use the locker room their entire college career, which was great because it was more space for us, and we didn't have any wierd uptight guys in there as well. The others realized we were just messing with them and laughed their asses off with us at the uptight guys. Plus it was pretty funny watching the freshmen pick up the soap with a scared look in their eyes. And the guy above is right, no one cares after a day or so, these are your teammates, friends, and people who you spend a lot of time with in college. Get over yourself.
