Yes, the top girls at FSU are coached by someone other than Karen Harvey. It really doesn't matter who coaches them as long as they run well. Show me a coach that doesn't care who gets the credit, and I will show you a coach that is on their way to success.
There was a runner who almost died from a blood disease at Loyola and while he was in the hospital the xc coach hooked up with this girlfriend (who was on the women's team)
he seems like a good women's coach
Harvey does coach all the FSU girls, club coaches are not involved until after NCAA outdoors.
Simmons coaches men well enough but he has not accomplished a lot with coaching women.
Karen coaches ALL of the girls on the FSU distance squad. Please stick to the facts.

My daughter got a letter from Oberlin recently. She's an 11 min 2 miler. Sounds intriguing, and I'm personally a fan of smaller schools. But honestly, I don't know how the heck I would afford that tuition. At least some DI schools wil giver her some money.
If your daughter is thinking about Oberlin, get on the phone and call their financial aide office to see what her options are. We never looked there, but some colleges strive to meet your EFC - which should be affordable.
Coach Harvey does indeed coach ALL of the girls at FSU and has done an awesome job with them so far. Great things to come at NCAA's from Kuijken and England.

I have personally seen that Karen Harvey DOES coach all the girls and takes amazing care and interest in each and every one of them from health to general training. By far one of the best and most dedicated womens coaches in the NCAA. It's funny that people like PRIVATE COACH feel they know a particular coaches training program and methods for a certain athlete. If you are so close to the program and supposedly know the top girls club coaches why don't you list your name PRIVATE COACH?
