ny is still whining over 9-11. only 3,000 died. hell, more people die each week from israeli genocide against their own semitic people in palestine. more iraqis are raped, sodomized, roasted alive, electrocuted, gassed, missiled, bombed, mortared, shot, and mutilated by the u.s. army each week than died in the whole insignificant 9-11 incident. did you read about the 9-11 families, they are still trying to suck the blood out of the dead victims. what do they expect, do they expect the u.s. government to pay more ransom to them with taxpayers money, when the u.s. knows islam has the right to defend it's sovereign territory against zionist nationalism, and u.s. imperialism. the u.s. government has openly attacked islam since 1948 when it defied the will of islam, arabia, and persia, and stole palestine on behalf of the european holocaust refguees. it's a big joke what the ny complainers want, afterall, we all know that the u.s. started the war with islam when it stole palestine in 1948.

cleveland, baltimore. tie.
I agree that both cities suck, but Detroit is worse.
The most over-rated city in the US is Atlanta, GA. Hot and humid, polluted, congested, sprawl hell and nowhere to run. I can't understand why Atlanta makes top lists, even top running cities. So it doesnt' snow there. Big damn deal.
And yes, the previous poster is correct that Gary, Ind is a total Sh#$hole.
New York sucks, the people suck, the subway sucks, the streets suck, the city sucks, the attitude sucks, the racist New York pig police suck, the Bloodsucking NYFD and FDNY suck. There's no place I've been to that consistently sucks in all areas but New York. Have you read the stories of how NYFD and FDNY are sucking the blood from the graves of the dead firefighters. They want millions and for what. How about the dead cab drivers from 9-11. More cab drivers get killed in New York than firemen each year. How about the City of New York issue Medals of Valor for dead cab drivers. Why only the bloodsucking fire dept employees ?

Baltimore, Maryland
Hot, polluted, people are very nasty, and no trails. Crowed too.
I moved to baltimore in may and i love it. I've lived in chicago, san diego, and ann arbor, mi - and I like baltimore better than all of them. I live in walking distance to tons of great restaurants and bars. Yea - I have to drive 20 minutes to hit a decent dirt trail - but there are 3-4 bike trails within 2 miles of my apt.
chicago and san diego are more polluted. the people have been great - i found a decent running group within days of moving here. they're organized and they like to have a good time. Maybe the inner harbor and 695 during rush hour are crowded - but other than that it's not bad.

Why don't you cry about how a tiny country destroyed every Islamic bordering country and conquered three times its original land mass in less than a week? Don't think Texas is going back to Mexico any time soon... 3,000 people dying a week in Gaza or West Bank? Absolutely not. Maybe if the Israeli army didn't stop 99%+ of suicide bombers from killing themselves and innocent people that many would die. You know who's the biggest cause of Islamic and Palestinian suffering? Other Islamic people and Palestinians.
seriously take this stuff to another thread please,
this was just a fun thread talking about dumpy cities
another town to nominate:
hayes, kansas... spent a night there, nothing is going on there (although crime might not be too bad i suppose)
Yeah sorry I go to college in Baltimore, and there are nice areas, though I see why it's getting nominated here. You do have to go a bit of a ways to get to trails, and there're a lot of dangerous/dinky areas. From what I hear from friends at Case Western, Cleveland is really bad. Surprised no one has nominated New Jersey cities Camden and Newark yet?
Why do you hate Philly? I've been there twice and I thought it rocked

Of all the people and cities I've been to Philadelphia is the rock bottom.
The answer is..... ALL OF THE ABOVE. Every major city is ridden with pollution, crime, and poverty. Some may be more aesthetically pleasing than others depending on the location and climate, but all in all, the decadence of capitalism has turned all of western society into complete squalor. We made our bed, now we have to sleep in it.
The rest of the world is a sh*thole too.

I don't get your list at all ... I mean I can understand Gary and Detroit. But what's wrong with Colo Springs, Memphis, and Abq? I thought Albuquerque was supposed to be one of the best places to live and train. Also, I love Manhattan, but I guess that's personal preference.

I would have to give a third vote to Fayetteville NC and the surrounding area. That s#$%hole is the only place in the world where FAT chicks can be choosy.
Yes, Atlanta is hot and humid, but beyond that I disagree that it's overrated. They have plenty of running--the Chattahoochee River trails and surrounding bike paths, the Freedom Trail downtown/midtown the Silver Comet trail to name a few places--as well as culture, unique shopping, locally owned bars and restaurants and friendly people. I lived there for a little over a year and would have no reservations about going back.
