Rhines 8:35.03
Smith 8:35.31
Flanagan 8:35.34
Vlasic attempting 2.06 -- "she looks as if she's got the equipment to do it."
I'll say!
wow, Michelle Sikes in at 8th ni 8:44 and change.
The world lead going into the meet was 8:43 i think. Damn she's progressing VERY nicely.
Also...really fast overall race...looking good for men!!!
I guess Jen will be thinking twice about running a marathon any time soon.
HUGE PR for Rhines in second -about 8:33! Not a PR for Shalane (8:35.34), her indoor AR was faster.
According to both her and Mahon (her coach and hubby), i've heard both of them say no more marathoning for competition for her. She likes and is better suited to the 5-10k.
Looks like all that marathon training is now paying off for Jen Rhines in the shorter than marathon distances!
I never thought that Jen Rhines was that fast, but 8:35 is fantastic! She's now fourth on the all time US list. She'll probably run the 10,000 next year at the Olympics and this time shows she can run a lot faster for 10k.
holy shit that vlasic chick is hot high jumping.
She makes a good pickle too.
How come the US champ in the triple jump, Shani marks, isn't in any of these European meets? She is a FINE looking woman.
Men's 3k live updates?
just underway - fast
