Do you say PR or PB?

I don't think anyone would say "I PB'd today"... it would be "I ran a PB"

No, most europeans wouldn't say PB unless they're trying to be anglophone. I am trying to think of the French and German equivalents and they do not abbreviate to PB.

And it seems to me I only heard PB back in the 70s and 80s. Never heard PR. I only became aware of PR in the last few years. (This is in America--New York, New England, and SoCal.)

It's been a trend, PB supplanted by PR.

I have personnel records that I call PR's.

My fastest race this year would be a PB for the season, but not quite a PR.

The top of our sport, IAAF, states WR as a World Record - The best ever. They also have a WB a world best or WL world leader - fastest of the season.

From Washington state, and everyone I have ever talked to says PR, coaches athletes, everyone. PB just sounds silly.

PR mostly from the U.S.

PB for the rest of the world.

It used to be PB in the USA. Americans now mostly say PR. Elsewhere PB still is the case. When did PR start taking over?
