Most of the people that have had kids in the running group I attend have daughters. Off the top of my head I can name 5 other runners with daughters and only one guy with a son. This is anecdotal I know. Makes me think I need to take time off running as I already have a daughter... but take time off of running? Ahhhh I would get slow!
This thread is an exhibit in how bad humans are with statistics. It's three pages of anecdotes, which adds up to a grand total of nothing. "I run, and I have girls" is not a proper response to "Do male runners tend to produce girls?"

Exactly. You know why? Because casual, anecdotal observations about these sorts of things are completely unreliable. All sorts of wives tales start this way. The plural of "anecdote" isn't "data."

I think I saw a study that said men who drink soy lattes and wear scarves are more likely to father daughters as well. However, men who sleep in a bedrooms with eagle-themed bedspreads and Metallica posters are more likely to produce sons.

We had a girl and a boy. Girl conceived after 60 mpw for weeks and then a bike trip with not as much running. I don't think I took a break at all, but before going to 100+. Then boy was after years of 110+ but I ran a marathon and then conception was during a period of resting after the marathon, so I had done my taper for three weeks and then a couple weeks after the marathon of not running, so I had something like 112-80-60-50-0-0 beforehand.
Killermike, you bring some good stuff here, but you seem to think that by calling careful self-observation and reporting "anecdotes" you show that it is useless and tells us nothing. However, a) most research studies involving exercise are small in number and often problematic in many ways, leading to contradictory claims, and b) the high mileage runners are a select group and hard to get into a study, so this provides a good start. If there's no lab coat, that doesn't mean we do not observe and report as well as or better than and certainly more punctually than the study authors. For instance, we might wait years for the report to conclude something about achilles drops or try it out and see what works. The practitioners get it right long before the study authors who generally don't know much about what they are doing. Also, if you see trends in reports, then that gives researchers a good question to examine.
My situation: Two boys. First boy conceived as a 2:33 marathoner running 80 miles a week. Second boy conceived as a 2:27 marathoner running 70 miles a week.
I cant say because I have never met a Male runner who has conceived. Or any Male who has conceived in general.
Maybe I'm just close minded and not progressive since I believe only women conceive.
