- Danny Grimes - Don't know his PR, but he represented the US at the World Champs one year and had several high finishes in big city marathons in the mid-80s.
- Chuck Smead - sub-2:15, US 50K record holder
(And Gary Tuttle was a two-time national marathon champ in the late 70s, if I'm not mistaken.)

Nuttall had the ability to run a fast a marathon but I believe never ran one. There are a bunch of other runners Kenyans and Non Kenyans At ISU that may have run betwn 2.10 and 2.20.. J Kipsang and Roland Pauwels come to mind.
See all in one recruiting class. Not bad for a bunch of PA boys. Throw in Jamie Hibell who was part of that squad and you now have one team that yielded two runners that were each the top US finisher at the Boston Marathon. Hibell went 2:22 in 2000 and Dowling went 2:13 in 2002.
