So what you\'re saying is that b/c they pay taxes, that means they should be able to get our national records. So basically they are buying our national records. If that\'s the case, I will quit running for a couple years while I go earn lots of money and then I\'ll come back, get in great shape and buy myself a national record. You idiot. It\'s about the foreigners coming over and stealing our records. How in the heck is it fair for someone to be born and raised training with huge advantages over another country (in regard to the running aspect only) and then for them to come over and steal the records from the citizens of a country who have been working their butts off to earn. It is down right stealing in my eyes. Not b/c of skin color, but b/c of the situation. I\'m not saying that I blame them for doing so b/c we allow them to do it. If I were an unbelievable athlete for another country and thought I could become an American citizen and make more $$$ b/c of it, I\'d do it too. But that doesn\'t make it right. Alan Webb should end up being the American mile record holder in the future, but b/c of Lagat, I don\'t know that he will ever earn that honor. I don\'t think that is fair. I don\'t and I never will. And anyone who thinks it is fair is probably a sucky runner who has no hope of ever making it to a level where it would affect them anyway.
