Wrong. The presumption is ALWAYS of innocence, not guilt (unless you're living in LetsRun world, that is).

And you're living in a dream world to believe that a negative drug test equates to a clean athlete.

Classic straw man. I never even implied that I believe that. I'm well aware that dirty athletes pass tests.
But civil society at large has decided that the presumption must be of innocence. And for good reason. When civil society permits the execution of innocents on death row, for example, civil society no longer exists. You then have only mob rule.

And intellectually you were wrong. You condemned her knowing that the test was incomplete and that the results had been faulty in at least 2 other cases.
Yet you still just know she's dirty, right? After all, she runs fast, she staged an unlikely comeback, and she's been closely associated with known dirtbags. Right?
Good thing you're not a judge, a physician, or a scientist (at least I hope you're not).
That's fair. I accept that.
Man, there sure were a lot of others like me, and they are NOT apologising today. Where did they all go? Or did they change their names?

You're just a better man than they. Maybe having the balls to admit your mistakes is a Canadian thing. Sure as hell ain't a Texan thing.
I'm still here and under my own name. USAT&F has cleared her IAAF is in review. My position is the same as is my name.I though some one who was using drugs got caught-that may or not be the case but it looks like Jones will wear the USA singlet once again- I've not heard about her sponsors other than some dropped her. I suspect if not reinstated she has a wrongful termination case or will get a settlement-heck they may even start a new ad campaign --a buck is a buck.

Maid Marion just goes back into the same pool...no reason to look at this as other than 50-50.
the thing is the B test for EPO was negative. but that doesn't mean she's not as dirty as they come. it's been covered, but her past is too ludicrous to think she's clean. and im sure she's on something new, or at the least HGH. so you can't say she's not a drug cheat. in this one instance, she's been cleared but that doesn't make up for everything else. i am not apologizing either. she deserves everything she gets and has only made it worse on herself with the company she keeps.
i still think shes a cheater

We were talking about the Washington Post, not Wejo. I'm not aware of the Washington Post calling Marion Jones a "drug cheat." I am only aware of them reporting that MJ's A sample was positive.
Wrong. I was talking about Wejo, and his inability to apologize for libel.

Compared to the real world, yes, the world of sports is just silly. When people's lives are on the line every day in other, more important occupations, I have a hard time evoking sympathy for those lucky enough to make a living off of sports.
Yes, you could say that sports are "silly" compared to other occupations. But if *you* care enough about them to spend hours and hours discussing them, you should care enough to get your facts straight.

Let's see...you responded to me, and I was responding to the guy who said MJ should sue the Washington Post. Thusly, we were talking about the Washington Post, not Wejo.
This is just a little too improbable: first Lagat's B sample comes back negative and now Marion's. What's going on here? I don't believe in conspiracy theories, so I offer the following explanation: the EPO doping marker must deteriorate over time. Why do they wait so long to test the B sample anyway?
You know what - we all should have known better than to think Marion was on EPO. 'Roids maybe, but not EPO.
Can someone please explain why they even bother having an A test (or why they make its result public) when it's the B test that overrides all results of the A?
I don't get it.....at all.
Let's see how fast she runs in the future. Then we will be able to figure out if she is natural or not.

I'm not apologizing for anything. I believed she was a drug cheat 2 years ago, and I believe she is a drug cheat now. Passing a test for EPO does little to convince me she's clean. Let's face it, history has proven there are masking agents, and the drug takers are still ahead of the drug testers (see BALCO case).
She has a long history of lies, starting with her high school days and evading drug tests.

They're not supposed to. Someone's leaking them. And Amy Shipley has made it her job to ensure that the whole world knows about them.
