You're clueless. First of all, you can't convert 400 to 800 times similarly for males and females because their aerobic and anaerobic systems are different. So what high school boys can do has nothing at all to do with what females can do.
There is NO such thing as someone's 400 PR times 2.24 equals their 800 time. That's completely made up. If that was the case then Athing Mu would have already broken the world record.
Plus, there are 3 different types of 800 runners. A few are 400/800 runners. Most are 800 specialists. And some are 800/1500 runners. All 3 of those types will have a different 400 to 800 conversion ratio.
There are lots of posters who are just completely making up wacky formulas in this thread. But it is Letsrun, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that.
