People think Hocker is bad at tactics? What was Nader doing lol. Spencer did a great job protecting and navigating from the rail and not wasting energy.

Looked like the 800-1200 split was about 53 and then the 1000-1400 was a 52
one of the best closes I’ve seen
Yep. I have to feel for Nader, his tactics weren’t the best and he ran so much extra distance. This guy Garcia ran an incredible race and beat the best 1500m runner in the world. Great race.
Thx. Could be close if Anna is in great shape. But she wouldnt be in 3rd at this point if she was peaked. Dokter should be within 4 seconds I imagine, what with an indoor gold on the line.

I love Keely and agree she is the heavy favorite for good reason, but after Addy Wiley’s semifinal and hearing her interview after I am excited to see what she does in the final. It would be pretty exciting if Addy gave Keely a run for her money. I know it is a long shot after Addy running a PB yesterday, but I hope she is in the mix.
Addy looked great yesterday and sounded confident in her post-race interview. But a four second difference in (recent) PRs is massive. Keely would have to get tripped to lose. If Addy stays poised and out of trouble, she's got a great shot at a medal. Hope she grabs one.
I know it would be a long shot. That is my slim “but what if” hope. I hope Addy does go in planning to challenge and not be intimidated by Keely. That is the only way US women are going to have any chance on the world stage. There are finally some going to world events that want more than just to be there.
I’m only following the live results, but there’s no mistaking this: the story of that race is Garcia boldly doing what nobody thought he was capable of.
Last 800: 1:48.28. From 1000 to 1400 he split 52.88. Just burned everyone.
Poor tactics from so many guys in the 1500. Did the Swede try to go inside Nader 2 times or 3 times, to get pushed back each time? As one example of many.
Garcia could not be more annoying. If you'd rather be riding bikes go do it little boy.
Pretty impressive Garcia took it out and was able to hold off the field. Green did a good job of trying to keep himself in good position, but probably had to surge too many times to be able to have a final gear at the end. Pretty decent result though, he will only improve from here.

An 800m guy allowed to run from the front in a ~3:40 type race is a recipe for disaster. Huge blunder by Nader to not put in a few 29pts early.
