That first heat was ridiculous. No shame if Lutkenhaus doesn't advance here.

the broadcaster's darlings English and Pattison both OUT lol
Weirdly bad tactics for English, usually he does it very well.
I bet Pattison is pissed at him for that move!

IS "natively" Japanese. Bowed to the camera instead of stroking his hair forward.
LUTKENHAUS!
Lutkenhaus 3rd, then up to 2nd at 400m. Attaoui WAY back now...
Still looking comfortable, surges to the lead at the bell. STAMPS his name on that semi! Grown man stuff!!! 1:44.29 YESSIR. Attaoui kicks in of course he does.
Cooper just made 1:44.2 look easy. Def the favorite for me now
LFG COOPER 17 year old making it look EZ
My god Cooper Lutkenhaus is good
Smooth af for Lutkenhaus. Sheesh. He’s definitely in the best shape of his life.
Is the announcer r3t@rded? Said cooper was going to need something the last 100 to keep his lead. Literally he wasn’t even trying and let up
Is that a calf sleeve on Lutkenhaus‘ left leg?
Hope he’s not carrying a niggle!
or am I being a moron and is this a new fashion trend hahahaha

Looked so under control. Damn fine stuff.
Insane how easy Lutkenhaus made that 1:44 look, looked like he was jogging the last 50m
Excellent from Lutkenhaus. Hope it does not take too much out of him, but at least Attaoui will also be drained from this fast semi (Spanish NR!)
He now certainly is in 1:42 shape based off how easy he looked, though we'll see how he recovers from the 1:44 tomorrow.

I gotta have more faith in him clearly!!
The tactical maturity of Lutkenhaus is incredible. I wonder what his tactic is in the final? I think front-running could be a viable strategy. I see Attoui as his biggest threat.
