I am a little younger so I never ran in shoes from the 90s or early 2000s. For me the Nike Pegasus 30s. I had like 3 or 4 of them and loved every second. The newer pegasus just do not compare.

Any chance you remember an orange colored new balance racer from around the time period Khannouchi was running? I had some RC something or a rather. I think it was lighter than the 205.
It wasn't the RC 152 was it? Had a pair of these in college. Preferred it over spikes depending on the day.
