Just let's be honest this year has been somewhat lousy. They split up GHB and Hull, and neither run the time they were trying to hit nor are they in compelling races. The men's 800 was solid. That men's 3,000 was OK but the top 3 from Millrose would've wiped the floor with the top 3 in this one. Men's 1500 pretty underwhelming not close to Wanamaker in terms of speed/competitiveness. USA runners care more about indoors and it shows.
An update is that Reynold ran 3:42. As far as Kenya I think Krop and maybe Kurgat will be in the 3K (Kipkurui could also try). 800 has Kibet, 1500 has F Lagat. Perhaps Cheruiyot tries again. I don’t really see any of these guys having medal chances.
