Agreed, Sam Tanner has made improvements to his 800m time recently under Kirkwood and with his great relationship with Sam Ruthe, each pushing each other to greater things, it's hard to see him going to Mottram. Sam T recently finished his Puma contract and has worn ON shoes these past two weeks though.
Curious as to what training group Adam Spencer is with. 7:59 for 3k in Madrid today.
I saw Spencer was training with Nader in South Africa and he won a 7k (I think??) in November in the Netherlands (again I think?) against the likes of Stefan Nilsen so I'm thinking he's training with the Lewandowski group
Looks like Stewy has gone out of how way to put his new agent/representative in his Instagram bio. Wasn’t there yesterday when I checked. All getting a bit spicy 🌶️

The pacer did a terrible job. Went on the white lights instead of the blue and yellows.
Wale was tapping him on the back to get him moving and he dropped before he was supposed to (the pictures cut to LJ)
So ignore the times from this one. it cost the field 10 or 15 seconds I'd say
The white lights were still going at 30 seconds a lap, and Wale ended up blowing up. Maybe they should have trusted the pacer. It defnitely did not cost them 10-15 seconds.
Pretty sure Spencer is with the Lewandowski group.
A few days out from the event, we have some startlights for the Perth track classic. Given Athletics Australia won't hope their own sh1t up, Here's some match-ups.
Nozomi Tanaka, the queen of Japanese track is making her way down under for the women's 1500. This should be a really interesting race against Abbey Caldwell. Women's 1500 Startlist.

The men's 800m is pretty stacked locally with Peter Bol and a few others making their first real appearance for the season. Tiarnan Crorken from the UK is also competing with a PB of 1:44:48. I'm not sure if it's just AA's inability to promote it, but i'm just not feeling the hype for these meets anymore. I'm sure Maurie Plant will be good but I feel like AA has missed about 500 tricks somewhere down the line.
Footy starts this weekend and people don't give a fck about track.

If these are the best of the events then I can see why they're not bothering to hype it.
Personally I'm interested to see how some of the promising WA junior sprinters go.
Also, If anyone has some further info on the below athletes and what's coming up, i'd greatly appreciate it.
Seth O'Donnell: Ran world cross country early January and hasn't posted anything on social media since. Hoping he didn't sustain another stress injury (apparently he had 6-8 last year?) Surprisingly hasn't been at any milers meets like he did last year.
Stewy McSweyn: Presumably left Nike and the whisper is he's signed with OAC/ON, hasn't posted on social media in 6 months. I'd love to know if he's racing any of the summer meets?
Matt Ramsden: Still with Nike apparently, no social media updates in almost a year. Unsure if he's even running anymore?
Don't mind me guys, just trying to follow this silly sport. haha

I'm intrigued to see Bob Abdelrahim in a stronger domestic 800m field. Coached by Rinaldi, 19 years old, fresh off an impressive 1:46 season opener which he negative split. One to keep an eye on.
In courting Stewy, no doubt Craig shared some of his issues regarding Bideau, having been previously coached by him and then leaving Bideau in the later part of his career.
Something both Stewy and Craig can relate to.

Sam tanner joining as well, there’s th training partner
I can't see Tanner leaving Kirkwood or his setup in NZ. From what Beamish has said on the coffee club podcast, it sounds like Tanner is very settled where he is at. Not to mention he's got a young child now.
And there it is, 2/2, Sam Tanner officially OAC too.
