Anyone know her goal time today? Still on 2:28 pace through 30k (539 mile pace). Sub 2:30 seems outstanding for a debut if she can hold on. I believe only three women from Peru have ever broken 2:30.
The coverage was okay but it was a big miss to not use the extra Josh Cox golf cart camera to cover the chase pack guys gaining on and then passing Nadeel Wildschutt and Paul Chelimo.

nor far from breaking 2:09:00 while working 30 hours a week according to the pre-meet youtube interview with the project marathon guys. Pretty impressive.
I think that's putting it a bit strongly...if he runs anything below 2:10 (without the win) I would say that's a great day for him.
I disagree. 209:59 is almost like 214 back in the day.
Chelimo is a two-time Olympic medalist. He just got 8th at us Xc and you are acting like he’s the equivalent of Mick Iacofano (who ran 2:09:55 on this course in 2020).

What a disaster by Chelimo
His running style just hasn’t translated well to the marathon. He should be a 2:05/206 guy based on his 5K time.
