CJ just can't resist being at the front.

The way you know he's not here is because there are 51 people in the lead pack and the marathon is on 2:10 pace.
Down goes Young.
Clayton Young trips and goes down. He seems to be okay . Tripping seems to be a factor in all the distance events .
At what point does this lead pack start to thin out?

Why do the Japanese spectators keep chanting "Toga! Toga!"?
Maybe it's Tora Tora Tora??

He must be trying to run his own even pace. Cause he keeps popping up at the front and then at he back again.
Ozbilen (Turkey) has been around forever!

I'm a huge Clayton fan. It sucks but he doesn't fall if he's not smack dab in the middle of a huge (and slow) lead pack. It doesn't seem to have really set him back, he just moved from the middle to the back of the lead pack.
I wish he would get out of the traffic though and push it.
CJ already looks too hot. Clayton looking relaxed.

Ummmm, am guessing somewhere about an hour from now.
The "You're getting dropped" cam has got to be demoralizing, especially when it pulls away after they determine you are, in fact, cooked.
Probably after halfway to 25k someone will start to push the pace.
They all look so hot. In comparison, Clayton Young does look pretty good.

Should be up for post of the year! I laughed out loud

With the heat and humidity I recon after the half.
However, it doesn't seem too hilly, if there were hills, they'd be dropping like flies.
Last time I fell on a run I dislocated my shoulder. Glad that didn't happen to Clayton, and also a little envious

It doesn't make sense. He just ran the course yesterday in 2:12 and it went fine.

It’s been a staple of cycling broadcasts for centuries. It’s the best.
funny when clayton looked at the camera and was like, it happens, and then he reattached himself to the pack
