It was hella awkward when she clocked a 4:06 and the commentators erupted as if it was a resounding success just because she beat her own WR. Like come on, don't gas us up. Good try, but this event was about running a unofficial sub-4 in lab conditions, nothing else.

She's 31. I doubt she can run 4:07 anymore. She also may have been having a rough day. Sub-4 was never happening, but I suspect that the Faith Kipyegon who ran 4:07 might have been able to run 4:03 in these conditions.
By your definition, I ran a lot of heroic last laps.

It was just an exhibition and she really didn’t run a 4:06. Without the gimmicks, maybe she would have run 4:10. Her 4:06 couldn’t be more meaningless.
