I am picturing a room full of generals and no one wanting to step up. Someone looks around and says "Ahmed is not here, let's make him the chief" and everyone agrees. Everyone agrees and poor Ahmed shows up late to find out.
Stalin killed off most of his high ranking military officers before Germany invaded Russia during WW2. It worked out for them. Ammunition supplies is low for the US from supplying Ukraine. Outside of confirming Iran's view on the United States and Israel, what good will this do? We did a regime change in the 1950s in Iran. when they democratically elected a president that was trying to nationalize Iran's oil. That lead to the 1979 Iranian revolution. How will this be any different? We just got done fighting 20 years in Afghanistan to replace the taliban with the taliban.
What? ... Israel's objectives are to destroy Iran's nuclear capability.
Destroy Iran's missile capability.
Bingo...
No that's a lie, just like Iraq.
Remember "Weapons of Mass Destruction!!!" ?
Iran is a signatory of the non-nuclear proliferation treaty. You know who's not? Israel!
Don't fall for the same mistake twice. We do not want another war in the middle east where a lot of people die.
"but but but! they HATE us!"
Even if Iran hates us, Iran is not a threat. Their defense system is apparently not working well. This is why we should chill and not continue to attack them. We don't want the heightened threat of terrorist attacks.
Really? How did that work out for the USA in Vietnam? They owned the skies but couldn't win on the ground.
The real losers of the Vietnam War were the Vietnamese. We just lost interest in Vietnam. For every American military death there were 14.6 north Vietnamese military deaths, so don’t act like we got our butts kicked. We could have “won” that war if we felt like sticking around. Communism hasn’t really worked out that well for them (much less economic growth than if they had joined the capitalist cause). None of those commies had any economic prosperity until they started adopting market reforms in the late 80s / early 90s. Capitalist countries in South Asia (like Singapore, South Korea and Malaysia) have fared much better.

This is a list of wars and other major military engagements involving Israel. Since its declaration of independence in May 1948, the State of Israel has fought various wars with its neighbouring Arab states, two major Palesti...
