Too much cult like videos in Provo and the altitude in 4500ft. It’s a waste to train there unless you’re Mormon. She just needs an actual coach that will do what’s best for Elise. Obviously Cornfield is not working out. She can only make so many excuses for him at this point.

As far as training philosophy goes, wouldn’t Cornfield’s be identical to Smith’s? If what you say is true, what is it that Cornfield is doing that is not working for Cranny?
Love her but she gets her butt kicked against the Africans and others
It depends how you define world class. If it means good enough to qualify for world competitions, make finals and Diamond League meets, then yes she is world class. If it means being good enough to podium at these types of events, then no, she is not world class.
Was waiting for someone to comment this. “World class” is a nebulous term. She’s finished between 9th and 13th 5 times in 4 years. Shes in like the top .0001% of women in the world in women’s long distance on the track, obviously she’s world class. There are lots of people that are world class at a sport that aren’t the Olympic medalists or world record holders.
4 races in now at Grand Slam Track. All HORRIBLE appearances and efforts by Elise. Literally it appears like she’s not even trying, like she doesn’t care.

Not impressive whatsoever.
Granted they started fast, but she was already 10 meters off the back 200 meters into the race, and out of the camera frame by lap 2.
She posted in instagram about getting her ass kicked and it being embarrassing and humbling.
Most people can relate to being mid-training, not feeling your best and racing horribly. It happens to pros too. In a typical season, you can just scratch an early season race if you feel bad. Unfortunately for Elise, she is locked into this league.
Hoping for her to turn stuff around it the next 4 weeks!

It seems like the decisions Elise has been making recently regarding her coach and training haven't been the best. I truly believe that her current situation is not helping her reach your full potential. Elise’s racing decisions indoors and outdoors reflects this. I think she deserves better guidance and support to improve and excel.

her performance at The Ten is when this happened. after a great indoor season I think she expected to ride that wave and hit the standard at The Ten then move right into Grand Slam. But she missed the standard and now has that hovering over her.
I think she'll work thru it, though, she's resilient.

She can turn things around on the road at the Great North Run in Sept. In 2007, Goucher won the event in 1:06:57, the only American (M or W) to do so. Cranny could be the second--if Kelati/Roe doesn't beat her to it.

Coach Cornfield you’re the one screwing things up for her.
