Solid field on both sides. Always wish to see Nico, but I get. Hoping to see Venters after her Houston half performance as well. That being said…
For the women I’m looking forward to seeing the results from Cranny as she has been running well at the shorter distances the last couple years. Valby of course 30:50 CR and a recent 8:34 PR. Kelati with an AR half at Houston and Taylor Roe after her Houston half performance.
Men: if racing I have to say Lobalu, Wildschutt and Samuel.
Who I think has a shot of stars aligned are: Blanks, Ky Robinson, Dever and Dylan Jacobs. Jacob’s is going to have lock in completely for it.
Definitely interested to see what Drew Hunter will produce after his OT performance last year.
I don’t think the stars need to align for Ky and Graham. As long as they are healthy they should be under 27. Jacobs will be coming back from running in China a few days earlier. That may be a little more of a task.
Yeah I was debating on if I wanted to put Blanks and Ky on that list out of respect to the 27 min barrier, but contrary to my initial post - I agree with you.
What stands out to me for Ky is his 10k win at NCAAs in Austin a few years back in very warm conditions. Mopped the field. That run at Millrose was the icing on the cake for me. Blanks is pretty darn consistent in pretty much everything he does.

Should be a good one for many 🤞🏾
McDonald on the list, but given his recent Coffee Club Comments (carefully dealing with post-Houston injury), I have to doubt he'll race.
I'm kind of surprised Nico isn't running this. I guess he already has the standard, but there are just so few opportunities to run a fast 10K I am surprised he doesn't want to take a stab at lowering his PR.
His season was crazy long last year, from NCAA xc all the way through the Olympics. He looked kinda gassed by the time outdoors rolled around.
Hunter's resurgence as a 10k guy is fun, I'd love him to have the standard going into the trials this time around.
