A significant chunk of the folks you'll see at National Parks are foreign tourists. Our Parks are incredibly cheap compared to some other places in the world. Moreover, we don't charger foreigners a different fee -- a privilege that is not extended to Americans when we visit parks abroad.
As an America-Firster, I think we should DOUBLE the park entry fees for foreigners and use that extra money to keep the parks adequately staffed.
Do you know what happens when foreigners travel to the U.S. and spend a bunch of their money on food, lodging, transportation, goods, taxes, and fees? Americans make a bunch of money and OUR TRADE DEFICIT GOES DOWN. I thought this was a good thing?
