He blew away the competition in terms of upvotes and downvotes. He was the most upvoted poster and had 10x as many upvotes as downvotes.
This award doesn't have to go to person with the most netupvotes but if we're going off of net upvotes for the year the top 10 were 1) THOUGHTSLEADER 2) Josh Wesley Harding 3) rojo 4) Turo Towers XC 5) McRunnin 6) MattHatter 7) high school xc coach 8) Peach Pit 9) Salvitore Stitchmo 10) Kobbs Hessler
He posts generally very thoughtful posts on the forum, isn't afraid to start threads and is a great contributor to the LRC community. We've liked his stuff for a while and had him freelance right for us as well.
Thoughtsleader was the guest on our Supporters Club podcast on Friday.
I don’t know if I should feel honored or embarrassed to be in the top 5. This recognition is cause for me to reflect on my life choices.
At the same time, I’m wondering how I lost to rojo, and I’m motivated to beat him for the last podium spot this year. So conflicted…
I feel the same way lol kinda embarrassed to be #8 but hsxc coach should not be above me
I wonder how they're counted. I know rojo goes in and edits a lot of posts after a big race to add extra info/links/clarifications, and at the bottom it says edited by rojo. If it counts those upvotes for rojo instead of the user (unregistered a lot of times), it would make sense why he's so high. But also I have no clue who Turo Towers XC is so maybe it doesn't take that much?
It'd be cool to see a yearend breakdown of how many posts, average # of upvotes/downvotes, most upvoted/downvoted post, etc.

It’s gotta be mostly embarrassment but the mindset is to win always and to never go home devastated. Thanks to all for the kind (or even unkind) words. Discus.
People are theorizing about most downvoted and it’s gotta be some sort of battle royale between doping extremists (on both sides), the strange metaphysical posters, and then the North African obsessed poster who also might be a Mo Katir burner account.

- Drunken temper tantrums to contrast the usual “facts over feelings” attitude beautifully. You never know what you’re gonna get
- Has a talent for overtaking and polluting non political threads in order to own the left
- Contrarian towards everything because that’s what smart people do
The runner ups are the people who devote way more of their lives than they should bullying an autistic man relentlessly on a running forum. I’m sure these people contribute so much more to society and are so much more successful than the person they put down.
The real question is who was the most downvoted poster of the year?
Gotta be Armstronglivs. That guy is horrible.
Would also be interesting to know if upvotes on deleted comments were counted. The mods take repeated umbrage at my accurate predictions. As a reminder - Trump will win, Ukraine will lose, the Covid vax is useless at best.
I have two accounts blocked on this site, and one of them is armstronglivs. However, I still don't think he's the worst poster. Imo, that honor goes to the other person I have blocked, Khamis. Pure absurdity.
I’m just glad Flagpole wasn’t on there. That would’ve been insufferable.
I do think Steve who writes crazy nonsense most of the time, but at times, he cracks me up so Steve, there’s at least one person who appreciates your posts!

I don't mind Khamis. We need to watch health. And avoiding food dyes, or in his case, EMF seems legitimate.

Turo Towers XC is me, Ruxton Towers XC. The funny thing is, I think "Turo" is the car rental agency that rented the truck and the tesla to those crazy people from those New Years attacks. Wejo must have just mixed that up...
But just to share some numbers, I posted about 1600 times last year. If most of those posts got between 5-10 upvotes, that gets me to about 1/4th of what Thoughts Leader (who had +40,000 upvotes) had last year!
Hats off to Thoughts Leader, by the way! That is some solid work. Thanks for making the board better and always being positive!

Khamis needs to take his meds. Seriously. I've worked in a psych facility in the past and he reminds me too much of someone who stopped taking their psych meds and went off the rails.
