D2 is much tougher than D3. So if they can win D2 and return everyone then they should do well in D3 if healthy.
“Today I had a tempo run.” Real question for her… Does she run with her team or do separate workouts? Or have a private coach?
this is probably summer's only time ever being with her team this summer. She has a private coach named danny guerrero who privately coaches a whole cluster of SoCal girls. It must be very frustrating for these girls' actual coaches, especially since school coaches are free and this guy is not.

So sad. These parents not understanding the benefits of being on a team and what that brings. Are they going to do the same thing in college?

Sounds like a lot of bitter Orange County parents pissing vinegar after having watched Summer smoke their kid again and again.

I'm not in So Cal but if you say so. I'm just a High School coach that knows there is so much more to running XC then running fast times. You can actually do both run the fast times and be part of the team.
The MileSplit50 Preseason Girls XC National Rankings are here. Follow along as we count down the Top 25 teams heading into the 2025 cross country season.

And running for a team can motivate them to run faster because they know that everyone is counting on them on scoring the least amount of points
There are a lot of people working to have a national xc championship race in Balboa Park on December 13th, the same day that Foot Locker was scheduled for. So Chiara Dailey still might be able to have another chance to run in front of her home crowd instead of going to NXN.
No Davis, Jesuit, or Saint Francis. Not much of an indicator without those schools.
Girls' thread you can leave Jesuit out of it. But about the only time you will get Davis, St. Francis, Oak Ridge, and Whitney in the same meet is SFL league meets. You're right that Sierra doesn't tell us much but more because it's broken up by grade, only two miles, and very hilly. About the only thing I see in that meet is that Whitney will once again be very good.
